Who doesn’t like food?
The day I started posting food pictures on instagram was the day I received tremendous response from my followers. I realized that food is something that connects people. It’s amazing how food can help build friendships and give us opportunities to talk over or about food. Love how food let’s the inner soul out through conversations on the table, which happens specially when you have food that makes your taste buds feel satisfied.
When I went to Little Italy with my Instagram Surat team to try their menu, I realized that food is an opportunity created to explore diversity of taste just like new places. You try food and talk about food. It’s a way you learn to their hearts.
Thanks to the team @littleitalygrp for the wonderful delicacies.
What did we devour? Variety of flavours and textures. We began with the two healthy soups Zuppa di broccoli and Minestrone. These creamy soups were really healthy and perfect to start the meal with.
We started our main course after cherishing the crispiness of ‘Bruchetta Al pomodoro’. Bruchetta was topped with fresh vegetables, followed by the classic insalate salad ‘Contadina’. The salad was filled with beans, vegetables like onion, tomato, coriander and sun dried tomatoes which made it a bit tangy.
The tastes were then taken over by ‘Special Tacos’ filled with beans, cottage cheese and oven roasted capsicum topped with salad and cheese. I personally loved how the platter was garnished with purple and yellow color popping from the black background of the plate.

The next dish completely won our hearts with the flavours of garlic, lemon and parsley stuffed in roasted mushrooms with evidences of all of them in each bite of ‘Funghhii Alla Trapenese’.

Creamy sauce with fresh broccoli, sun dried tomatoes and tempeh with parmesan cheese and chili peppers in ‘Pasta Barbaresca’ was a savoury. Barbaresca had this devouring ravioli dipped in pasta sauce and I could not save myself but eat as much as I could stuff in my mouth. Ravioli are a type of dumpling composed of a filling sealed between two layers of thin pasta dough. Pasta ‘Al Arrabbiata’ had it’s own minor spicy touch of chilly tomato sauce and garlic with sun dried tomatoes on the top.
Later, we savored the cheesiness of Pizza Nawaabi and tangy flavors of sun dried tomatoes in Pizza Napoli. If you are looking for authentic Italian pizzas, this place will b my recommendation to you.

The dessert was a sinful delight where we felt like we were diving in pool of gooey chocolate after the very first bite of Chocolate Bomb served with vanilla icecream.

Tiramisu Italiano
We completed our meal with the classic Italian Pick me up dessert ‘Tiramisu Italiano’ which completely won our hearts with it’s smooth texture of mascarpone cheese and sponge cake soaked in rum and coffee.
Every bite of dessert made me satisfy my taste buds by feeling it on every part of my mouth and since each one pf us was a dessert lover, by the time I opened my eyes to take another bite the plates were empty.
It couldn’t be better and I’m definitely looking forward to have the ‘Funghhii Alla Trapenese’, ‘Pasta Barbaresca’ and the ‘Tiramisu Italiano’ dessert when I’m there next time. #HighlyRecommended
