Raunak-e-Eid

IMG_5996-01

Dear readers,

I’m back with an adventurous experience with you all. It might not seem adventurous to many of you but it was for me, because I did something I had never done before.

Covered in hijaab, I went to mosques and places where muslims offer namaz and Eid prayers. It was something I didn’t expect myself doing, but always wanted to justice Eid in pictures. You know how it feels when you decide to do something which you had never done before, but at the end feel blessed to have done it.

Checking ‘Done’ in my goal list is one of the things that I really love to do.

Waking up to see such a beautiful morning on the day of Eid made my day more special. Apart from the ancient mosques that I visited, people dressed in new attires offering namaz, the voice of Mawlana, the words in Dua (prayer) opened the doors of my heart for all the good vibes that were flowing around me.

Mosques were crowded inside and out. Men offering prayers and others observing, where as few waiting for them to finish the prayer and give zakaat (donation).

The special moment arrived after the prayer, when everyone completed their Eid namaaz and came out of mosques meeting and greeting each other in a way you don’t usually get to see. The smile on their faces was immensely different than how we always see. Those hugs were special and way different than the ordinary hugs.

It is said that on Eid, you must even greet your enemies and take an initiative from your side. Here’s how they smiled and spread love.

The ideal way to greet on Eid.

I have seen just a little part of this world and I know there’s a lot left to see. But even when I see this little part, I can see lot of realities, emotions, and love at every strange place. I find it fascinating. It is one of the reasons I wish to never stop doing this.
