“Education is every child’s right.”
You must have read this quote many times and believed it. But there are some people who are actually working and helping children to fulfill their dreams. Pathshala NGO is working on education to underprivileged kids. Every year they sponsor kids who are good in studies but who face financial problems. With their work they have successfully turned the little ones who didn’t know the meaning of education into smart talking leaders.
Recently, The Pathshala Team organized The Art Project where they invited two amazing artists Benjamin Swatez and Robert Markey from US. Both of them came to teach different arts to the students. Benjamin and Robert are visiting different places in India and all over the world to teach and spread art. He has taught children from South Africa, Women and Kids at the children’s shelter, physically handicapped people and created many places lively! In this week full of fun and colors, students of Pathshala also got a chance to learn Mosaic and Murals; the two arts which are different but amazingly beautiful together.
Children got idea and tried their hands on the wall. The boring plain walls successfully got life after the art work. Students played, sang songs and danced with Benjamin too. They also tried to teach some hindi words to them. It seemed like the language was not really a great barrier for them to interact.
He is colorful as his work
Children thinking about ideas and trying to paint their imaginations on the wall.
Such colorful Munchkins!!

Here’s everyone working on the great wall painting with beautiful Indian elements in it. Seeing them working on their painting my heart also asked me to pick a paint brush and paint, so I followed my instincts and filled the small flowers with the volunteers.

And a huge credit goes to the Pathshala team. Team’s hardwork was shining in the eyes of students. The hard work and passion of all the volunteers paid off. They are really an example of real life heroes, who struggle and spend time in something which gives no other reward but JOY and SATISFACTION to them.

I went there for two days and enjoyed the hours spent with the smiling kids who keep asking you to take their pictures and the team who teaches the importance of education. Also the artists being so energetic and passionate to make you want to follow your passion crossing all the limits.

Final picture of the painting with everyone who played their role for this project.
